ABOUT
GREAT TRANSPORT STRENGTHENS COMMUNITIES
Martin Hall started as a bus driver and went on to lead 2,000+ people as Executive General Manager Queensland for a national operator. Along the way he led the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games bus uplift, delivered multi-million dollar government contracts and drove depot electrification and zero-emission fleet deployment. He also served as Chief Commercial Officer at one of Australia’s last bus manufacturers.
That makes him one of the few advisers who has sat on every side of the table: driver, operator, manufacturer and trusted adviser to government. Today he brings that view to boards and advisory bodies across business, government and the community.
Community runs through all of it. Martin began his career in social housing and chairs the Gold Coast Community Fund, which has distributed over $5 million to community causes. He is Immediate Past President and a board member of the Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce, and serves on other community boards. Public transport is his passion because it connects communities, and he is not ashamed to say that he loves buses.
